Grinding Filbert trees – Buena Vista, OR

As the newly planted blight-resistant filbert trees (American hazelnut) mature and double planted orchards are thinned for spacing, farmers are looking for a sustainable and efficient way to manage the resulting wood waste. For this client we were able to quickly process these young, thinned threes to a 2 inch minus size.

This material will be used as a alternative to sawdust as a bedding around blueberry crops.
